Carrar is recruiting its new members of the R&D team. Carrar is a small startup that's experts in two-phase cooling and develops cooling systems for the automotive industry.
Job description
Job title: Development team leader.
Department: R&D (research and development) Team.
Reporting to: VP R&D.
Location: Sapirim industrial park, Shaar hanegev (Near Sderot).
Key relationships:
Internal: operations, integration, procurement.
External: Suppliers, Consultants, costumers.
Description of Duties
Responsible for 3-5 development engineers (mechanical, electrical)
Ensure the efficient distribution of the team workforce
Developing thermal management components and systems for the automotive industry.
Mechanical design of system parts.
Calculations in the following subjects: Thermodynamics, Heat-transfer, fluid mechanics, and mechanics.
Guidance and review all of mechanical design.
Accompanying production processes
Producing full documentation for transfer to test/manufacturing
Preparing status updates for senior management as requested
Simulation analysis: Mechanical, assembly, Heat-transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Static, etc.
Become an integral part of the R&D team.
Identify team training needs and coordinate with the VP R&D to implement individual training plans.
Key attributes / Person specifications
Essential:
A mechanical engineer with three to five years of experience in product development.
Three to five years of experience managing and leading small development teams.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional English – both verbal and script
Able to analyze and solve problems.
Willingness to be hands-on engineer.
Willingness to be flexible and multi-task as a leader of a small team.
Good Knowledge of SolidWorks.
Good Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.
Strong leadership skills.
Time Management skills.
Preferable:
Experience in thermodynamic and heat transfer.
Knowledge of automotive standards.
